28th Solo : Sin-Hnd-Sin (Haneda Day #1)

touched down, got on the coach that brought us to the hotel.

that's the airport in Haneda :'>

arrived only in the evening.

this is the key to our room.

quite surprising right?
coz it's not a key card, it's a normal key!

a panorama view of my hotel room :'>

no time to waste coz we only have a very short stay here!

rested for awhile, then met up with the others for dinner.

made our way to the street nearby.

came across a stall that sells Puffer Fish!
ok, but we didnt go in.

still walking around to find food!

finally, we decided on this restaurant!
looking quite atas, so we walked in.

leaving the ordering of dishes to our Japanese colleagues coz this restaurant doesnt provide English menu.

and that's the way their staff take our order --- by kneeling :O

no idea what they were conversing about, but hopefully it's a good recommendation by the staff.

the table setting.

appetizer.

each of us had a plate of that.

no idea what did we eat, but it was nice!

Mikako portioning the salad for everyone :)

this taste like some cuttlefish.

like a snack.

we liked it :)

hmm... i cant remember what is this.

probably some liver.

in here, we tried the Puffer Fish!

this is the Puffer Fish, fried!

it was my first time having Puffer Fish
ooo, i liked it!

this is the Puffer Fish Roe.

the inside of that.

it was also my first time trying, but i dont really fancy it coz it tasted quite salty.
like salted egg.

some rice to fill our tummy.

the Triangle Onigiri.

one has salmon in it, the other has some sakura something.

to me, it was just meh.

this is some baked crab thingy.

i dont really fancy it coz it has the taste of potato :/

this is the super expensive fish that the staff recommended.

saying it's a rare fish and they dont have it every time!

well, but it tasted just like normal fish.

sigh pie, wasted money here.

moving on, i actually tried to me, the 2 most exotic food that they ordered!

they call this the Shirako (Whale Sperm).

and they call this Sakura as it reminds people of the colour of cherry blossoms.

well, but in English, it's Horse Meat.

yes, both of those eaten as sashimi.

well well, dont judge me.

it's a YOLO thing okay!

right right... if any of you happen to pop by Haneda and dont mind spending alittle more to try these exotic food, you can try popping by this restaurant :

after dinner, we walked around the street and slowly made our way to the 24-hrs supermarket!

saw this on our way!

zomg, so pretty!

the next time i'm here, i wanna try this!

loooooooooook! too pretty to be eaten right!

Japan~ Japan~

one of the reasons I like this place is because they pay alot of attention on the presentation of everything!
makes everything look so damn good to meeeee coz i'm someone who falls for packaging :/

yup, and after supermarket, we made our way back to the hotel.

and that was our day.

ok my stomach is feeling weird with the exotic food churning inside.

i probably should sleep.

goodnight!
