yay! morning TAIPEI!
and we were soon to touchdown!
aft abt 5 hrs, we landed in Taipei safely and happily.
otw to get our luggage.
at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
because we're going free and easy, we do what tourists do --- take plenty of maps and attractions/places recommended to visit brochures back to read.

while we took care of the luggage, the rest went in to get some food.
just something small to fill our tummies before we reach Taipei Bus Station for proper breakfast.
grabbed a bite before we bought tickets to board the coach bus.
bought tickets to board the Kuo-Kuang coach bus #1819.
not too bad, coz we get to stow our luggage below the bus.
and sit comfortably on the bus with quite abit of legroom as compared to when on the aircraft.
took a nap during the bus ride.
soon aft, we reched Taipei Bus Station, at a temperature of 30degrees! :O
we were early and wanted to apply for the Youth Travel Card.
yes, we were the first few customers :D
aft applying for Youth Travel Card and buying their 'ez-link' card for us to travel around during the next few days, we settled for breakfast at the station itself.
we had kfc breakfast.

aft filling our tummies, we took 2 cabs to our Airbnb house!
yippee! reached our home for the next few days!
and as soon as everyone settles in, the first thing we do is connect to the wifi in the house!

this is the master bedroom, of course, for the parents.

the boys will be sleeping in the living room on the sofa beds.
luckily there's aircon in the living room. hehe.
rested for a short while, then off we went out to explore our surroundings!
seeing a line of motorbikes parking by the side is just #sotaipei
under the scorching sun!
found our nearest mrt station!
we call ours 'ez-link card', they call theirs 'easycard'.
so excited!
first stop --- Xi Men Ding (XMD).
spotted people filming under the hot hot sun.
zomg, poor things!

coz it's freakin hot, we need a cold drink.
but when in Taipei, drink bubbletea!
so there we went and got ourselves a few cups of bubble tea!
then gonna start our 'mai dong xi, chi dong xi' journey.
the previous time we didn't get to try 阿宗麵線.
this time, we make that our first must-try street food on the list!
tadah! found the shop!
we were glad we were early and the q wasn't that long.
we didn't need to wait for long before we got our order :'>

omg, it tasted so so different from the usual kind of mee sua I imagined!

ordered 3 diff flavours this time round, but I still prefer the condensed milk one!

and the sun was scorching hot!
it's difficult to find seats while shopping on the street, but when we find one, we totally plong-ed our butts down.
needed a break coz daddy's feet is hurting from his new shoe.
mummy's legs are tired from all the walking.
the boys are just perspiring like mad under the hot hot sun.

saw online, another must-try on our list --- 炸蛋葱油饼

aft XMD, we headed to Shi Da Ye Shi.
walk, eat and shop at the same time!
saw this stall by the road, and decided to give it a try coz it smelled nice!

then it was getting close to dinner time and we looked out for our dinner place.
settled in one random shop w jap kind of food.
satisfied with our choices ^,^
headed out for more shopping and street food!
ok, we were quite full.
so we looked for dessert.
then we bought back some egg tarts and bread for breakfast tmr from a really nice bakery.
went back to our house thereafter.
blove contacted The Couple coz they were in Taipei too!
decided to have a short meetup before they leave the next day!
unfamiliar with where we can go for a drink and we chanced upon TGIF, so there we went!
