61st Solo : Sin-Hkg-Sfo-Sin (Hongkong Day #2)

touched down in the morning, at Hongkong.

crossed the borders, moved from Kowloon to Hongkong side, and checked in to Park Lane Hotel this time.

yay to free wifi! like finally~!

not bad at all, a room with our fav number :'>

didn't expect a hotel room in Hongkong to be this spacious!
usually, it's damn small!

plus, yay to 2 big beds (Y)(Y)

no time to waste!
got changed, met up with michelle and we went on a food trail.

trying the selfie stick that she brought for the trip before heading out of the hotel!

nearest station from our hotel --- Causeway Bay Station.

utilising the selfie stick.
lol, don't judge us!

while waiting for the train.

and this is probably boyfriend's favourite station.
coz he watched the gu wat zai show and will keep telling me he's tong luo wan zha fit yan!
Lol, i had to #actiyige ^,^
aiyo, i miss him la!

their mtr frequency is something that i must give both thumbs up to.
their trains come every 2-3 mins!
well, mayb this is something that we should learn from them.

being tourists, we just whipped out the selfie stick and took a pic in the train with commuters in the opposite direction staring weirdly at us.
lol, but we don't care :D :D

took the train to Jordan.

again, utilising the selfie stick. lol.

took exit C to Bowring Street.

any idea where we were heading to?

tadah!
yes, the Australia Dairy Company!

been to Hongkong a few times, but never got the chance to visit.
finally, this time we got the chance to!

didn't eat on board.
kept our stomach empty for breakfast in Hongkong! :'>

as expected, a long queue early in the morning.
spot me! ^,^

well, the queue was long, but it was fast!
we merely waited for about 10mins or so?

before we know it, we were next in line! :'>
that's the interior of the cha chaan teng, with the typical white uniform that the employees will wear.

because the menu on the wall is all in chinese characters, i had a hard time translating to Michelle coz my chinese isn't fantastic at all.

hence, she tried to ask for the english menu and woah, they actually do have an english menu!
so awesome, easier for me too. lol.

this is what biujie recommended!
yes, imma order one!

michelle and i shared a breakfast set and a milk pudding

it's part of the locals' culture to have customers sharing tables, so the other 2 serving was another couple's.
lol, it was alittle awkward coz the lady was grumpy and unhappy that they had to share table with us and was complaining to the boyfriend the whole time.

we acted like we didn't understand anything that they were saying and just kept taking pics, chit-chatting in english and live in our own world. lol.

tadah, their signature milk pudding!
we tried their Steamed Milk Pudding With Egg White.

it's a little sweet, but omg, i love it!
sadly, michelle's not a fan of it and after trying one spoon, she passed the whole bowl to me.

ok next time imma try the almond one!

aft filling our tummy, we wanted to walk alittle to aid in digestion.
well, looking at the map, it's too far to walk.

so we just kept walking aimlessly till we see the next train station and decided to tap in!

erm... we were too engrossed in our topic of discussion while we were in the train that we didn't even know we missed our stop!

ended up in Yau Ma Tei, which wasn't part of our itinerary at all. lol.

looked at the map again and headed towards Central.

yup, the right station now coz we found our next stop --- Tim Ho Wan.

who said Tim Ho Wan in Hongkong no queue?!
we waited so long!

took our q number, and the order paper to place our orders first.
they have 2 versions : one in chinese, another in english.

i took a peek at the waiting list and omg, there were still so many people before us!
well, so while waiting, it's photo-taking time!

ready with our orders, but no seats :/

a pic with the newspaper cuttings :D

the interior of Tim Ho Wan.

and finally, we got our seats!

only ordered a few dishes coz we wanna snack on elsewhere later.

probably my only fav/must-order when dining at Tim Ho Wan.

yummaye! so gooood!

we ordered the Cheong Fun with Beef Filling.
meh. not nice.

and to make things worse, I ACTUALLY FOUND A STRAND OF HAIR IN IT!

LIKE SERIOUSLY!?
I FELT THAT WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE IN A MICHELIN STAR RESTAURANT!
EEEEWWWWWW MAX!

totally spoiled my appetite.

i feedback to them, but they only apologised and cancelled the order.
ah well, my canto isn't that fantastic to kick up a fuss, so i let it passed.

i probably will not ever stepped into that particular restaurant, ever again if i return to Hongkong.

anw, our next stop was Itacho, but sadly, their menu is different from ours in SG.
plus, they don't have the usuals that i order, so we gave that a miss.

took the train back to Causeway Bay and walked around the area.

wanna go Sogo to find my wife cake coz the concierge told us the Hang Heung Cake Shop is in there.

omg, but isn't this scene so familiar as what i saw in Mongkok?

tents set up and all.
yes, the protest.

so near our hotel :O

didn't wanna take part in it, so we just ignored and went into Sogo, headed to the supermarket.

Halloween is just round the corner i suppose?
since they have really cute Halloween deco on the fruits at the supermarket. lol.

it's a japanese supermarket that sells jap stuff.

amongst other products, this Hello Kitty Cafe caught our attention!

they were having some promo on their macarons!
it's going at buy 4 get 1 free, but there were only 2 of us, so michelle treated me to one!

these are the various flavours.

omg, so themed!
i like!

presenting michelle's Hazelnut Macaron.

and mine's Vanilla Macaron.

well, looks kawaii right?
but taste wise, i found it to be alittle too sweet for my liking.

found Hang Heung Cake Shop, but shall only get it tmr :'>

walked out of Sogo and explored the surrounding area.

a huge Apple store nearby, with people still q-ing for iphone.
lol, luckily i'm not too huge of an Apple fan.

opp it is a huge F21, but nope, i didn't step in.
enough shopping at F21 in San Francisco.
time to control!

and because i think it was quite messy there, so police vans and policemen were seen almost everywhere.

spotted Mobile Softee.

so cute, but nope, that would be extra calories intake, so nope!

ah there, spotted another police van.

they're everywhere!
at least, it makes tourists feel that everything is under their control. lol.
