it's a clear day here in Hongkong!
but everyone else has their own plans, so i went out on my own!
did my homework and went to q for cookies from Jenny Bakery in the morning.
took the train from Causeway Bay to Tsim Sha Tsui.
being a typical kiasu singaporean tourist, i went there even before the shop is opened. lol.
once you're at Tsim Sha Tsui, look out for the exit to Mirador Mansion.
once you exit, you'll see this.
then walk straight ahead and on your left, you'll see this.
walk all the way in and you'll see Jenny Bakery.
i was there probably around 8.15am?
but they're only opened at 9am sharp.
i thought i was early coz i only spotted 2 ppl waiting outside the shop.
then one of the locals came to us and said the queue's actually outside.
yes, outside here.
we walked out and ok, there was alr a queue.
but i was still early.
8th in line. haha.
made new friends while q-ing.
they're from Korea!

and as time passes, the q got longer.
when the clock strike 9, one of the staff will walk out and distribute queue numbers.
that's my number, #78.
very quickly and uniformly, we walked in to purchase our cookies!
the whole process is very fast, but don't expect any customer service at all.
they won't smile nor will they acknowledge you or any sort.
some may even shout out for you to prepare your money first so you won't hold up the queue.
though they actually do sell other products, they simply just assume everyone were just gonna get the cookies, so they will just go 'da hai shi xiao' (big or small tin).
on your part, you will just have to pay the money, take your cookies, and go.
nope, these are not mine.
they were just displayed outside the shop, so i took a pic before leaving.
their tins are so pretty, probably that's why it cost more.

i took the train to Mongkok to do some shopping on my own before heading back to the hotel.
to my disappointment, the shops don't open that early and so i only managed to buy like 2 skirts and that's that :[
i wanted to walk along the streets outside, but lugging 4 tins of cookies was really heavy and i was in no mood at all to cont walking. lol.
so, i decided to get something from Bai Wei Shi Pin.
yes i read blog reviews about this stall too.
they have ingredients, all chilled, packed individually.
plus, it's really affordable.
each packet is only priced at HKD3.
you can choose as many ingredients as you want, and they will mix them up all in one packet for you!
for mine, i chose 3 ingredients, so i only paid HKD9 for it :'>
took the train back to Causeway Bay, went back hotel to rest.

4 tins.
2 big and 2 small.
big tins has 2 layers of cookies in 1 tin while the small tin has only a single layer.
rested for awhile before heading out again in the evening.
oh, did i mention how convenient our hotel is?
there's an IKEA like just below our hotel.

there is a mall right opp our hotel, but i didn't went in to walk.
looks exp.
instead, i went further out and walked along the street!
at night, this area is even more happening.
more people gathered, more noise.
more tents.
well well, decided to stay away aft a few pics taken.
headed to the supermarket instead.
zomg, so many potato chips to buy coz they all come in different flavours!
hehe, buying home for the boys ^,^
and last but not least, i got the Wife Cake from Hang Heung Cake Shop for family and relatives.
a total of 10 boxes, i lugged it home all the way from Hongkong :'>
